Aaron Carpenter, MDiv, DNP
Senior Vice President, Chief Nursing and Patient Operations, Delaware Valley
Aaron Carpenter, MDiv, DNP, joined ¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾«Æ· Children's in 2016 and currently serves as the Senior Vice President, Chief Nursing and Patient Operations Officer for the Delaware Valley. He has worked as a registered nurse in adult cardiac critical care, as well as general and academic pediatric emergency nursing. As a pediatric nurse practitioner, he has practiced in primary care and pediatric emergency medicine for more than 20 years. Dr. Carpenter is board-certified in pediatrics through the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board.
Dr. Carpenter’s primary academic interest is in building confidence and competence in novice advanced practice providers. He is the founder and director of the ¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾«Æ· pediatric primary care nurse practitioner fellowship, the first in a free-standing children's hospital.
During his tenure at ¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾«Æ·, he led the restructuring of advanced practice leadership and the growth of that team, and supported the development of a professional advancement program for advanced practice providers and the creation of the ¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾«Æ· Center for Advanced Practice.
Dr. Carpenter has earned a bachelor's degree from Sacred Heart University, and a master's degree from Yale University, an MDiv from Trinity School for Ministry and a DNP from Robert Morris University. He is passionate about developing leaders in children’s health and connecting clinicians with opportunities to advance in their careers.
