William "Bill" Higginbotham II

William "Bill" Higginbotham II is a certified public accountant (CPA) who joined ¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾«Æ· Children’s Health in 2002 to provide financial leadership and prioritization oversight to the organization’s many strategic initiatives. Prior to joining ¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾«Æ·, he was a senior manager in KPMG’s Jacksonville and Nashville offices, serving both health care and other not-for-profit audit clients.
In 2016, Bill was appointed to the ¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾«Æ· Executive Team as Enterprise Vice President, Finance and Cost Containment.
Bill transitioned to the ¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾«Æ· senior and medical leadership team to serve as senior vice president, finance. As part of this role, Bill has helped shape ¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾«Æ· Children’s strategic direction by serving as co-chair of the enterprise-level Strategic Initiative Management (SIM) Oversight Committee’s Core (Vetting) Team, alongside senior vice president and chief compliance officer Anna Small (committee co-chair). SIM is how ¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾«Æ· prioritizes its many initiatives during both its short- and long-term strategy lifecycles. It also ensures an inclusive process with engagement across the organization, helps with leadership development and aims for objective, strategic work that aligns with the ¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾«Æ· mission.
Bill is a member of Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA) and Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA). He is a former board member of the Child Guidance Center, which serves Florida’s Duval and Clay Counties, as well as the Florida Chapter of the HFMA. He earned his undergraduate degree and completed his postgraduate accounting requirements at Stetson University in Deland, Florida. He earned his certified public accountant (CPA) designation in 1992.
Bill resides in Jacksonville, Florida with his wife, Jill. He has two children: a daughter, Jordan and a son, Trey. He enjoys fishing, hunting and spending time with family.
