Cardiology

Why I Treat Children

I recall the awe and fascination I felt for my own pediatrician growing up, and that inspired me to go into medicine and care for children. The first time I heard a human heartbeat with a stethoscope in medical school, I knew I wanted to be a cardiologist! I enjoy the challenge of putting together information from a patient’s medical history, physical examination, and test results to arrive at a diagnosis.

What I'm Passionate About

Treating children with heart problems can be complicated, and it’s important for patients and families to understand what’s going on. I pride myself on my ability to explain complex diagnoses and situations in non-medical terms, so everyone can understand. It’s a unique privilege to work so closely with children and families.
