Dr. Maria Carmen G. Diaz is a pediatric emergency medicine physician and the medical director of the ¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾«Æ· Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) at ¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾«Æ·/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children. NICE’s mission is to advance patient safety and quality of care by promoting clinical excellence through the use of simulation.  Dr. Diaz is double board-certified in Pediatric Emergency Medicine and in General Pediatrics. She also serves as the chair of the Emergency Medical Services for Children (EMSC) Advisory Committee for the State of Delaware.

I’m passionate about delivering safe, high-quality care to all of our patients. That’s what I strive for in my own practice in our Emergency Department, and it’s what I push for in all the work I do as the medical director of simulation at ¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾«Æ·. My medical interests include: simulation pediatric emergency medicine high-quality pediatric care for all children
